Public Transportation:

  • Room to Grow is one block away from Back Bay Station on the Orange and Commuter Rail lines. Exit Back Bay Station on the Clarendon Street side. At the corner of Clarendon and Columbus Avenue, take a left and walk to Berkeley Street. The entrance to 142 Berkeley, on the corner of Berkeley and Columbus, is between Mitchell Gold and Laurel Restaurant.
  • Room to Grow is also close to the Arlington Street stop on the Green Line. Exit the station at Arlington Street and walk one block down Boylston Street to Berkeley Street. The entrance to 142 Berkeley, on the corner of Berkeley and Columbus, is between Mitchell Gold and Laurel Restaurant.
  • MBTA Bus Lines that make stops in Copley Square or on Berkeley Street are also a convenient option.
From the MassPike (I-90) Eastbound:
  • After going through the Allston tolls, take the Copley Square/Prudential exit.
  • Stay to the right as you exit, and follow the right-hand fork towards Copley Square.
  • Go straight through the first light (Dartmouth Street) and take a right at the next light onto Clarendon Street.
  • At the first light on Clarendon, take a left onto Columbus Avenue.
  • At the first light on Columbus, take a left onto Berkeley Street.
  • 142 Berkeley Street will be the building on left, on the corner of Columbus and Berkeley.
  • The entrance is on Berkeley, between Mitchell Gold and Laurel restaurant.
From the North (I-93 southbound)/Storrow Drive westbound:
  • Take the Leverett Connector towards Storrow Drive/Cambridge.
  • At the end of the long exit ramp, follow the signs for Storrow Drive westbound.
  • Stay on Storrow past the Hatch Shell, and then take the Back Bay/Beacon Street exit on your left.
  • Go left at the lights and immediately bear right onto Arlington Street.
  • Stay on Arlington as you go through three lights and cross Marlborough, Commonwealth, Newbury, Boylston and St. James streets.
  • At the fourth light, take a right onto Columbus Avenue.
  • Take your first right onto Berkeley Street. #142 will be on the left.
  • The entrance is on Berkeley, between Mitchell Gold and Laurel Restaurant.
From the South (I-93 northbound):
  • Take exit 20 (South Station/Logan/MassPike)
  • After the exit, follow signs for Frontage Road/East Berkeley Street.
  • Once on Frontage, take a left onto East Berkeley Street (East Berkeley becomes Berkeley Street as you cross Tremont Street).
  • Go through 5 lights and cross Harrison, Washington, Shawmut, Tremont Streets; Columbus Ave. will be the first intersection after crossing the bridge over the MassPike/rail tracks.
  • 142 Berkeley is ahead on the far left-hand corner of Berkeley and Columbus Aves.
  • The entrance is on Berkeley, between Mitchell Gold and Laurel restaurant.
From Cambridge/Arlington/Soldiers’ Field Road/Storrow Drive eastbound:
  • Heading inbound on Soldier’s Field Road/Storrow Drive, take the Copley Square exit (it’s the first exit after the Fenway exits).
  • After exiting, you will be on Clarendon Street.
  • Go straight on Clarendon through five lights and cross Marlborough, Commonwealth, Newbury, Boylston, St. James and Stuart Streets.
  • Take a left at the next light onto Columbus Avenue.
  • At the first light, take a left onto Berkeley Street.
  • 142 Berkeley Street will be on the left, on the corner of Columbus and Berkeley.
  • The entrance is on Berkeley, between Mitchell Gold and Laurel restaurant.
Parking
  • Limited street/metered parking is available on Berkeley Street and Columbus Avenue near our building. As it is a busy area, these spots tend to fill up quickly.
  • There are two parking lots across from our building on either side of Berkeley and Columbus
  • There is a large parking garage on Clarendon Street (between Stuart and Columbus Avenue)
